Weekend plans

I'll be seeing a doctor tomorrow about my left knee. The hubby's getting upset that I've kept postponing the check-up for three weeks already. I don't really remember how I hurt it but I'm thinking now that it must have happened during boxing.

Anyway, I can still walk and everything but it hurts when I straighten it and put my weight on it. I can feel a strong twinge of pain when I go up and down stairs. And it was hurting yesterday after I drove a manual transmission.

That's number one agenda early tomorrow morning. Then we have a birthday party at 2:30 and a dinner party at 7.

It's going to be a busy weekend but the prospect of a grown up party with just the hubby and me is enough to perk me up. But first, I've got to wade through Friday night traffic. Not fun.

So have a good one folks. Whatever you've got planned this weekend.

Menchie, this sounds like a fun-filled weekend...except for the knee injury. Be careful when driving that stick shift!

We're going to spend the weekend emptying out our living room and removing the old stained carpet. We'll be putting in new wood floors.

best of luck with the knee and good thing you are not putting it off any longer. I hurt my knee skiing 2 years ago and NEVER have it checked (was scared they wanted to operate) and it took me this long to feel ok with it!
And we are off for a 8 day vacation tomorrow! YEAH!!!!

I never can visualise exactly when I hurt myself - I'm always bruised and limping about without a clue when/how it happened... Hope the doctor sorts your knee out quickly and painlessly!

Enjoy the weekend. Am really a little jealous about your planned evening out with your husband (not your husband, obviously. I mean YOU should be going out with YOUR husband and not me of course...I mean the situation of going out with the partner...oh! you know what I mean! I hope!)Anyway, enjoy yourselves!!!

We have rain forecast for this weekend!

Hi M--boxing, are you thinking sports injury? Take care of it then.

Have a great weekend!

Boxing, eh? Who knew that wrapping presents could be so straining.

Hope it's nothing serious.

Ms. Val,
home improvement weekend for you huh? Ugh, did not like spending the morning at the hospital.

Dan,
Don't have to use my good leg to kick your ass -- my arms are perfectly fine. LOL!

SabineM,
Yeah, it's been 4 weeks or so since this started and the hubby was giving me hell and sending me on a one way guilt trip so had no choice. Soooooo jealous of your 8 day vacation. Enjoy!

Pacha,
Totally know what you mean, sweetie! Had a really nice evening out with my hubby's college friends. Good music and adult conversation!

Hildegarde,
Thanks. Doctor has to extract some fluid that accumulated in my knee due to something that happened during boxing, I guess. Wasn't able to have it done today as we had plans for the rest of the day. Good thing I don't have to have surgery, at least, not yet.

NP,
yeah, i hurt it while boxing. have a good weekend too!

Diesel,
well, i sort of panicked for a bit when the doctor mentioned surgery. but xray looked ok. you wanna see my boxing gloves? :P

its better to get it checked out, bit of pain now or possibly a heap of pain later...

I left a fractured arm untreated for 5 weeks, never quite the same.

Aidan,
that's what the hubby kept saying and I finally did after a month! So i have a procedure scheduled tomorrow...not looking forward to it.

Marie,
hopefully by the end of tomorrow, it will be. :S

Keshi,
yep, had the xray and blood test (for uric acid). There's a bit of fluid accumulation in the knee which has to be extracted tomorrow. I'm getting the hubby to go on leave so he can hold my hand. I'm super scared of needles!

HB,
My avatar pic not enough? :D Will have to think of something creative.

menchie thanks for all ur lovely comments on my blog!! I am such a lazy cow and I need to write more comments...so here it goes: hope all goes well with your knee! If it's an old injury you could get it checked out by doctor and if he has no solutions to the cause then try acupuncture (v.effective) or trigger point massage! Eithyer way I am wishing you a speedy recovery and that you'll be bounding up flights of stairs once again!
good luck! hugs!

Menchie,
The world is full of hard-headed women. I keep telling Trollop to go to doctor for her back, but she won't listen. I swear i should fly to Spain just to break her back so she'll be in too much pain and then she'll have no choice but to see a doctor! :@

Er, hope you're feel better. :)

Keshi,

Harlot,
