There is nothing creepier than hearing a dog howling (horror film-like) in the middle of the night while you are the only one up. I had to turn up the music on my laptop just to drown it out.

So those energy drinks really work. I took one at 11:30pm so I could work and I was still bouncing off the walls in the car at 7:30am. So I took another one for good measure. Because, well, I still had a two hour presentation to go through.

No warning about the crash when it wears off though. My eyes kept crossing while trying to stay awake. I have now fortified myself with a double caramel macchiato. Two shots of espresso and two packets of brown sugar. If that doesn't keep me awake, I don't know what will.

Sigh. I still have to work this weekend. Bugger.

Oh no Menchie!!! You have to work this weekend? Make sure you sleep tonight though!!!

Fortunately you can't get addicted to those energy drinks because they are so disgusting in taste (unless you've found a yummy kind!)

Hope you get Sunday off at least honey! (AND NO CLEANING!)

Yeah, girl, those energy drinks are bad news, I figure...won't let my kids touch 'em.

But looks like you've found other ways of staying awake!

Pacha,
I did find one that's yummy. It tastes like a citrusy Sprite. the usual red Bull and Lipovitan tastes really bad.

CAn't do any cleaning as I really have tons to do for monday. But I can breathe again after that so i just have to suck it until then.

WW,
I don't really take it regularly. only when i have to stay up late to work. :D

OH My ! I never tried those drinks! WOW. I think the last time I stayed up all night was when I was in College... well except the occasional Mom moment when the kids are sick!

sabine,
funny you should say that, i was just thinking it was similar to having a new born when you hardly get to sleep and then i had to go to work the next day. it made me ask myself if i was still willing to do that for baby number 3.

i haven't answered myself yet. :D

dog howling? yes it irritates me a lot too... outside my house, there are atleast 7 street dogs and the circus they create at nights is so so so irritating.. if only i had a gun!

It's the foxes that keep me awake at night. Sometimes they sound like children in pain. Really scary.

Shame you have to work during the weekend, Menchie. Hope you get the chance to take it easy soon.

COffee is really powerful. Yesterday, I took two cups after dinner and I couldn't get myself to sleep last night. All the best to you.
