A hot day and a hot video

Thirty two degrees. That's how hot it was Sunday afternoon. I was taking a nap with the kids and we had the air conditioner on and an electric fan turned on full blast and it was still hot. I don't know how I can get through this summer and it's only February.

So I have hatched a plan to have a girls only getaway with my two sisters to Boracay. For those who have not heard of the place, it looks like this:

Imagine talcum powder like white sand, the best shakes this side of the Atlantic and the best parties when the sun goes down. *sigh* Heaven! It's about time anyway. The last time we had a getaway with just the three of us, it was years ago when we went to Australia for a vacation. So we've been to Bora on separate occasions but never together. I think my hubby's feeling a bit left out but he understands. (Or maybe he's worried...*grin*). My youngest sister already announced that ..."what happens in Boracay, stays in Boracay..." so maybe that's what worries him. *We'll be good!!!! Promise and cross our string bikini covered (or is it uncovered?) hearts!* HA HA HA HA!

Meanwhile, my sister made me listen to this song made into an unofficial Grey's Anatomy video. I have not seen any episode yet mainly because I know once I start, I wouldn't be able to stop. But the song is utterly, utterly beautiful (and has the same title) and the GA video is just one of the sexiest things I have ever seen. So I'm sharing and here's the link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9tq4Og8C34). I know it takes a bit of time for it to download but believe me, it's worth it. Patrick Dempsey is, omg, *fans self*.

I've got a busy week ahead of me. I hope your weekend was as good as mine.

I want to come too!!!!!
You're lucky to have sisters.
Can't I become your adopted sister????
x

Maysha!!! I've missed you!

You can come!!!! We won't be going until April when my sister has time off from the hospital so this is still just a dream right now.

As for the song, just search for the songs you like on Hotget.com or radioblog.com then just copy the html code. On your blog, go to template, add HTML or javascript and just paste the html code. it's easy, let me know if you have any questions.

Caroline,
Let's go!!! And of course you can be my adopted sister. I think you and my second sister are the same age.

Marie,
I will post pictures if we actually sync our skeds enough to be able to leave. :D

Aidan,
I saw the pics, beautiful! But, you've got the Twelve Apostles in Melbourne. That place is awesome no matter the weather.

Diesel,
you got me thinking about that inappropriate card day. That was a nice card you got!

Keshi,
You should come visit! You'll love it!

I've been to Melbourne and Sydney before. We stayed with my cousins in Bondi and then visited them again after they moved to Paddington. I love Australia.

David,
Hi there! Thank you. Feel free to drop by anytime. :D

Kuya,
Finally! You've been absent from your blog so long I thought you'd stopped.

No fair, you know I love Bondi. But, Bora is still one of the best. Yeah, that's right, her hubby won the trip. Life is not fair.

Still working on the french films. Josh and Faith keep watching Happy Feet over and over, can't even snatch a little dvd time.

kisses. btw, Aileene has BIG BIG news!!!!!!! *squeal*

you're a lucky woman and why not?
since i enjoy anticipation almost as much as actual events, i hope you get good mileage out of both.

Nooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

She's not joining the Armed Forces as a lay nun is she? LOL.

Omg, is going to Boracay your bridal shower for her?

You will need a lot of tequila, vodka and rum then :-)

When's the big date? Who's the lucky cuzz-in-law-to-be? Is it Mr. Kurri?? LOL.

You have to watch those Frenchy films I gave ya (esp the one entitled "Love Me If You Dare"), you'll regret that you keep deferring....

Menchie said...

kj,
i hope, hope, hope it pushes through. *crossing my fingers*

keshi,
yeah, bondi and paddington were cool. where in aus do you live?

kuya,
shhhhh!!!! will email you deets! :D Will watch that French film on Friday after i get the kids to bed. will have to wait up for Jun anyway (everybody's got plans so someone's gotta stay home with the kids).

I don't usually watch Grey's Anatomy but the episode last week when she died was very interesting.
All of those poor souls wandering around..imprisoned by all of the petty blunders that they made..all of the time that they wasted agonizing over ridiculous things..instead of living.

I haven't seen a beautiful tropical sunset since I was in Cozumel, Mexico...sigh..what is it about sand and surf that frees us so...something deep within us that recognises that it has taken 3.8 billion years to get tothe point where we can look back at the ocean and appreciate what a miracle it is that we can..
well, that we can even think about such things.

Menchie said...

HE,
You've got an advantage, I haven't even seen a single episode but will be rectifying that as soon as I stop being distracted by my books.

It's the ancient pull of the ocean. I know what you mean. Sometimes the vastness scares me.

Menchie, the Bora trip sounds like so much fun. While children are great, even the best moms need an adults only getaway.

Menchie said...

Ms. Val,

Soooo true.

Have a fantastic time with the goils, Mench! Can I be your chaperone? (Great song, btw)

Menchie said...

WW,
Sure! You can beat the boys off with a stick. LOL!

Yeah, I love this song.
