It took a wee while, right enough, but when the meaning of the first cartoon eventually became clear - I laughed. And then went "yuck".
There is a very real chance that ice cream could have been spoiled for me. I had no idea that that was where it came from. I suppose it makes sense, really. Luckily, I maintain very low personal moral standards, and so can't imagine that this will deter me from eating ice cream for too long.
I'll maybe give the coffee and chocolate varieties a pass, though. Better safe than sorry.
I like fruitcake too...but strangely I have never been that fond of Mr. Whippy.........
Sorry I missed your 5 things for Christmas list yesterday....if Samson had not pushed in front and put down his wishes, I'd have to say i'd have had yours!! x
Some people and at least one dog, I think you'll find. Best to get your facts straight, Ces, because these minor misunderstandings can often escalate and result in tragedy.
My dog - Emma - is already outraged that you chose to snub her in your revised estimation concerning the desirablity or otherwise of fruitcake. She is holding a one-dog candle-lit vigil outside my house and, unless I am very much mistaken, she has just started singing We Shall Overcome.
Wow. I have way too much time on my hands.
Ces - sorry.
Menchie - not so much. You, after all, kicked the whole thing off and bear some considerable responsibility. Shame on you.
Phew. I think I've handled this pretty well and remain confident that I come across as mentally stable.
That first picture is really my favorite. However, I consider myself fortunate that references to food and bathroom humor do not put me off at the slightest so I have an advantage there. Nothing can ever put me off ice cream. Ever. Except if it comes in fruitcake flavor because I don't like it either.

I laughed heartily after reading this. Thank you for making my morning!
Nobody likes fruitcake.
My dog likes fruitcake, Ces. Does that count?

Okay, some people like fruitcake. Maybe I read too many cartoons.
